Midterm maps priced by real money, not pundits

Most election maps are one analyst's opinion. These start from live prediction markets: every 2026 Senate race and every one of the 435 House districts is priced by traders on Kalshi and Polymarket who back their view with real money. Each race blends both venues' prices weighted by volume, so the deeper market counts for more, and the maps refresh hourly as odds move.

The seat bars track the live balance of power: 51 seats for a Senate majority, 218 for the House, combining the races on the ballot with the Senate seats that carry over. Click any state or district to see how each venue prices the race and jump straight to the underlying market.

Frequently asked questions

What does this 2026 midterm election map show?

Two interactive maps: every Senate seat on the November 2026 ballot and all 435 House districts, colored by live win odds from prediction markets. Instead of pundit ratings, each race is priced by traders on Kalshi and Polymarket who risk real money on the outcome. Click any race to see the odds breakdown and the underlying market.

Where do the odds come from?

From Kalshi and Polymarket, the two largest prediction market exchanges. For each race we blend the two prices in proportion to trading volume, so the deeper market counts for more.

Which seats are up for election in 2026?

There are 35 Senate races: the 33 regularly scheduled Class 2 seats plus special elections in Ohio and Florida. The Senate seat bar accounts for the 65 senators not on the ballot. In the House, all 435 districts are on the ballot, with 218 seats needed for a majority.

How often do the odds update?

The maps refresh from both exchanges every hour, and the balance of power bars recompute automatically as prices move.

Are prediction market odds a forecast?

They are the collective view of traders with money at stake, updated as news breaks. Markets have a strong track record on elections, but odds are probabilities, not guarantees. A race priced at 50 percent is a coin flip, and even a heavy favorite can lose.
